Title (14 point bold)

Brief description of article (less than 20 word introduction to the article - 8 point italic)

Author’s name (10 point type)

Body of article - 10 point type

Total word count: Less than 1000 is best

Pictures: One picture for every 300 words. Provide the pictures as prints (any size, B&W or color) or provide them as GIF, JPEG . Be sure to include photo credit and any other essential credits. Identify each picture with a one word description written in ink and covered with clear tape so it doesn’t bleed onto other pictures (or specify the filename for already scanned images). Also include a ten word title for the picture at the end of the article.

Content: Keep it useful, positive, uplifting and encouraging, instructional, informative, entertaining and non-offensive. Objective product reviews are acceptable. We will provide minimal editing support.

Author’s byline (8 point italic) - approximately 50 words about the author, their achievements, credentials and who to contact for more information. Provide photo credits and any other essential credits for producing the article and photos. Please include a website reference as well as email address, phone and fax

Sports Shorts Submission Specifications

Title (12 point bold)

Typically less than 150 words about some announcement or achievement. Only one picture is allowed, though not required. Preferred submission is via email to sharp1@traveller.com Please include photo credits. No author or other credits are given. Designed to get current information posted as fast as possible

Explicit directions on how to prepare it, how many it serves.

Include a brief review of your personal success with this recipe, how well you liked it, what modifications you would make and special notes to make preparation easier. A picture is nice, but not essential (see article submission requirements for photo specifications)

The preferred type of recipes are healthy, tasty, fast/easy to prepare and have good visual appeal. We prefer not to have vegetarian recipes which try to imitate a meat dish.

100-300 words describing what makes this athlete unique and/or special. This can be anything from setting a new record, achieving a personal best, persevering against the odds, being active despite a disability
